A Message from Rev. Robert O Gramling
On behalf of Henrietta Cosby, Founder and President Emeritus
It is with heartfelt feelings of gratitude and thanksgiving that we greet and thank everyone who has in anyway helped VISCOP over these past thirty plus years. It has been an amazing journey. This work has been more than a job. It has been a labor of love. What a great privilege it has been to serve God by helping others. Jesus said, "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self." Matthew 22:39. This love has been expressed in the activities listed in our brochure/history. Beyond these activities we shared a rich and abiding fellowship. Because of the fellowship experience many participants were restored to a frame of mind and well being that bonded them one to another.
As we celebrate this anniversary we truly celebrate it as those who have regained their sense of value and well being because of our interdependence as co-partners. Please consider joining us and experiencing the mutual benefits uniquely offered by VISCOP.
You can reach us at 609.239.5366 and we meet at the Church of the Nazarene in Pitman, New Jersey.
Mission Statement: To provide a center for the visually impaired persons of Gloucester County and to provide services assisting them in functioning more actively in their homes, community, and society; with a goal of self-sufficiency and self worth, to achieve a fully functional building to house our activities.
